Saint Seiya, also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a Japanese animated series created by Masami Kurumada in 1986. It tells the story of the Bronze Knights who fight to protect the goddess Athena.

The fallen Sun God from Greek mythology and brother of Athena appears on Earth accompanied by his Corona Knights and the resurrected Gold Knights. He announces the imminent end of Earth and comes to claim his beloved sister, Athena.
